No, I'm not sure if "alternative rapcore" is a genre, but Falling Up is best described as so. The above video is one of my favourite songs by the group, whose numbers have diminished gradually. (Their latest album, Fangs, employed only three members compared to their debut album, with six.)
I find this song a refreshing take on the blend of rap and rock we've heard from bands like Rage Against The Machine and Linkin Park. "Broken Heart" considerably softer, but retains an equally enjoyable backdrop. The lyrics are faith-related. Frontman Jesse Ribordy has a piano-based side project entitled The River Empires; I acquired one of their compilations yesterday and am very excited to listen to it.
