Year's not over yet (music videos of 2010)

The month of December signals the new year. It's no longer "2010". It's "almost 2011", or "this year sure went by fast".

Year-end recaps are appearing everywhere and the Grammy nominees have been announced. Artists and directors got creative this year; they got risque; they got provocative. For the second time, I'll refer to Klaxon's "Twin Flames" and The xx's "Islands". (The former made Pitchfork's list.) There are simply that many great videos out there.

One of Ok Go's crazy videos released this year.

Montrealers Arcade Fire are getting some attention as well.

Just appreciate without asking what happened here.

Other consistently recognized works include "Telephone" by Lady GaGa Feat. Beyonce, "Fuck You" by Cee Lo Green, "I Feel Better" by Hot Chip. It'll be interesting to see how the more mainstream charts match up.

  2. More or less, haha. Not the most professional-looking shot they could've come up with, but definitely one of the more fun ones to shoot.
