Alternative holiday music: The Raveonettes

I wasn't too taken by The Killers's Christmas single this year. (Expecting another "Boots" really backed me into a hole.) Thankfully, The Raveonettes bailed me out with their track, titled "The Christmas Song", but far more lovely than the traditional chestnuts on an open fire, or whatever it's called.

Short, simple, and sweet, sitting around just over two minutes, Sune and Sharin work their surreal vocal harmonies into muted percussion and fuzzy metallic guitar. It's a dangerously lulling combination during a snow-in; naturally, I just can't wait for the first one this winter.
