Abandon All Ships played Toronto last night at The Opera House. Their electric screamo finds a good medium between Alexisonfire and Attack Attack!. The music video isn't officially on YouTube yet. (watch it on MuchMusic)

As well, the latest "briefing" video from BLACKDIAMONDSKYE. Nothing exciting, really. Just eerie (calming) music, triangles and numbers. 24 days until Alice In Chains, Deftones and Mastodon hit the Molson Ampitheatre.

Despite its title, the Drop covers all genres, including EDM. It focussed primarily on the local Toronto scene until 2013, after which most of my written music coverage shifted to The B-Side, a publication friends and I founded at UC Berkeley. During that time, this page has held more poetry and personal musings, but as of 2017, I'm back to covering what I did best here -- new and unique sounds.
